Still Alive but a Fan of Facebook...

Just wanted to let you all know that I may still update the blog once in a while but since I've joined FACEBOOK I've obviously neglected the blog. If you haven't checked out Facebook before, you should. You just might find some old friends you thought you'de never come in contact with again. It's completely free, and you have complete control over what info you put on there and who sees it. You can send friend requests and you'll also receive them - but you can accept or ignore them.

Eagles Training Camp

Tuesday, Aug. 5th
Since the Eagles train at the Lehigh Valley University we decided to take the boys to see them. They were more excited doing the things that were for the kids than actually watching the special teams train that day. But we can say that we saw them up close and not just on TV.
Joel coming down the bouncy slide.

And here come Elijah

John, Joel & Elijah walking around the track

Elijah kicking a field goal, wasn't quite long enough though.

Now for Joels' turn

And last but not least...some kids don't grow up

He did kick it through the post... if you were wandering

Some of the players... sorry I don't remember who they are.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

Just wanted to post some pictures of our day yesterday. We took Elijah & Joel, along with Mom-Mom & Pop-Pop to the Lehigh Valley Zoo. It's not a big zoo, but they boys enjoyed it, it drizzled on and off while we were there but it wasn't bad, kind of nice that it wasn't extremely hot out and it wasn't crowded either. Hope you Enjoy the pictures.

Joel wanted to feed the goat but then he chickened out.

Elijah feeding the goat

There is a Kookaburra in the cage behind them.

Elijah took this picture with some help from mommy

Joel took this picture with help from Daddy.

This little Chipmunk was sitting in the Macaw's cage eating his food.

There are actually 3 River Otters under that rock but only the 1 would stick his head out.

We were able to go inside with these birds and feed them nectar. It was a neat experience. The boys didn't want to do it, they were content with watching them eat out of Mommy or Daddy's hand.

Time for Catch Up (once again)!

Hi Everyone!
Things are going well here. The past 2 weeks have been busy, busy, busy!!! 2 Weeks ago was camp for out 9-18 year olds. It was a good week, once I got past Monday & Tuesday I was ok with out the boys. We had 18 of our kids that went. John & I pray that they stick with their decisions they made at camp. Last week was VBS at Church. I think we ran about 20 kids in total. It was another good week, but after the week before we are ready for a some rest. Not much else is going on here. We did have 2 deer in the yard on Sunday Morning. Of course they were eating the apples of the apple tree. But it was neat to watch them.

Thanks for tuning in...sorry there isn't a whole lot going on right now. We are still looking for a place.

Memorial Day

Well, I hope that everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day. In the morning we helped split wood for mom & dad. Later in the afternoon we went up to Quakertown to a wooden park they have. The boys enjoyed it and of course they want to go back to that park another day. Here are some pictures from the day.

Checking out the Memorial...

Thank You to all those who are serving & to those who served.

Daddy & his Boys

I think he was showing Elijah how it was done, but Elijah wasn't paying attention.

Too much play, must rest!

After Memorial Park we went to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream. Yummy!! Their Chocolate Cake Batter Ice Cream is delish!! A good way to end the time at the park.

Storing up for the winter...

It turned out to be a nice afternoon on Saturday so since we had nothing else planned we split some more wood for mom & dad. The boys enjoy getting involved also. (at least for a little while) So here some pictures of them helping out.

Joel & Pop-Pop

Also to give you a little update... John called about the house we went to look at and they had rented it out. So I guess we can't ask for a clearer answer than that. The Lord has something better out there for us to live...just would be nice to know where and soon. But again I was reminded in choir practice that Our Lord is never late, he is always on time.

I would ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers. Not only house hunting but also for John's job. He works in a warehouse and they closely watch the percentages of their employees. Unfortunately, Johns percentages have been down lately but when they have a manager follow him around they can't find anything that he is doing wrong but yet the percentages are down. They have given him a verbal warning and a written warning.

Thanks for tuning in...

Current News & Prayer Request

Just a little bit on whats going on...
John and I went to look at a house yesterday that is about 10 minutes from our Church. Its a small 2 bedroom house, but its adorable. And if thats where the Lord wants us then it will be workable. We told the man that we want to pray about it for 2 weeks and then we will go from there. So we are asking you to help us pray that the Lord gives us the wisdom that we need in making this decision. Sorry I don't have pictures of it to show you, but if we end up moving into it I will post pictures then. :) I should soon get Elijah started with school and then out to enjoy the gorgeous weather that we have here again today. Just wanted to give you all informed of how things are going here and to let you better know how you can help us pray.

Spruce Lake Weekend

Well, we had a very nice weekend at Spruce Lake with the Leatherman clan. Saturday turned out to be a gorgeous day, so we were able to be outside enjoying Gods marvelous creation. Heading up Saturday morning we saw 14 deer. Unfortunately we didn't think to get the camera soon enough so we missed a deer that was right by the road.
I would say a majority of our day was spent by the pond throwing rocks in, looking for salamanders, frogs, turtles and whatever else boys can get into. We hope you enjoy the pictures of the boys and their day at Spruce Lake.

Joel & Elijah waiting to go on our walk to the pond the first time.
John and the boys either skipping rocks or just throwing them in. Then again they may have all been watching my cousin, Randy, skip rocks.

These pictures were just to good to pass up. John& Elijah looking at something or for something in the water & Joel just being boy and splashing with a stick.

Elijah & Joel had fun playing with their cousin Natalie either outside or in the cabin. Sunday it was raining in the morning so they had to play inside. But they made the best of it.
Sunday afternoon when we left it didn't take the boys long to fall asleep. I think Joel was asleep before we got a mile from the cabin. They were 2 very tired boys. They had a busy week of meetings then a fun weekend in the mountains.

Stop by anytime to see what we are up to. It is another beautiful day here. Hope wherever you may live it is nice also. I need to do some school with Elijah & then I'm sure its to the park sometime today. Probably after nap time.

Hi Everyone! Well, it looks like I am averaging about 1 update a month. Sorry about that, but you can count on at least 2 updates this month. So here is the latest...

Friday night and all day Saturday we had a Music Conference at our Church with Bro. Byron Foxx (Bible Truth Ministries) and Bro. Dennis Stremming. We ended it with a choir concert Saturday evening. Sunday we started right in with our Revival Meetings with Bro. Foxx. Last night was to be our last night but we are having such a good time in the Lord that Pastor has extended it to tonight and possibly tomorrow night. What a blessing!!

Saturday Morning we are heading up to Spruce Lake to spend Saturday and Sunday with the Leatherman clan. (those that can make it) We've been doing this for as long as I can remember. Every year we rent a cabin and whoever can make it comes. Some go up on Friday night already, but we are heading up Saturday morning so we are there in time for breakfast. Hopefully it will be nice that we are able to be outside either hiking or doing whatever. They have a lake that the kids always enjoy throwing rocks into. John will actually be "preaching" on Sunday, so please pray for him as he isn't sure what the Lord wants him to say, and to family. But we are looking forward to that time of relaxing after a long BUT GOOD week of Meetings.

Thanks for stopping by and checking in with our family. I'm hope to be blogging again after the weekend, sometime.

TIME TO GET CAUGHT UP AGAIN...

Here I am again. Lack in blogging once again...
Here are some pictures from our last snow we had. Enough that the boys were able to go sledding with daddy. I'm not sure who had more fun Daddy or the boys.

Somehow I think John intentionally tried to take out Joel.
(Just something about that facial expression.)

Elijah heading back up the hill for another round.

(But where's the sled?)

Joel on his way down.

This past weekend the flu bug or whatever type of bug is going around has made its way through myself & Joel. I started with sore throat & headache on Friday am and was down a majority of the weekend. By Monday, Praise the Lord, I was felt better than I sounded. I think I am starting to sound better also. Joel started Friday night with it but seemed ok over the weekend. Monday & Tuesday he spent his days on the couch. John had a bit of sore throat and was tired and Elijah gets coughing spells once in a while but thankfully it seems to have passed both of them. Sunday all four of us stayed home to continue getting better and to keep from passing it around the Church family. Although, they could have passed it to us, since it seems like it has already gone through the Church once this year.

Here is a pictures of Joel... his pictures can describe our weekend.

This picture was to cute to pass up. He wanted to get up off the couch on Tuesday, so he got up and on the end to drink his juice. After a while he was sitting on the floor and when we checked on him a few minutes later he had fallen asleep again.

John has switched back to day shift at his work!!
When he started working at DSC Logistics in September they hired him they only hire on as 2nd or 3rd. So he had been working 2nd shift since he started. It was kind of nice having him home during the day for several reasons. I was able to work at Curves in the mornings and he was teaching Elijah, but we missed him being home in the evenings. But its one of those things, that was the door The Lord opened, so we took it. and made due with the time we had. But when they had posted an opening on 1st shift he put in his name and we hoped & prayed that it would work out. Well, he FINALLY switched to days this week. This will be his first Wednesday night in Church since September. He is greatly looking forward to that and the fact that when it starts staying lighter later he will get more time with the family. That also means I go back to teaching Elijah. Just keep that on your prayer list for a VERY LONG time. He is doing well with it but he has his days where he doesn't want to. Then we both end of getting frustrated. I didn't go to Crown for teaching I went for my Secretarial degree. OK, and my MRS.
degree. :-)
Last tid-bit of info on the family... we are starting to look into moving up closer to our Church in May. Being involved as we are would be better if we were closer. Please help us pray that the right place will open up. Well, hope you enjoyed reading up on the Morgan family. We love to hear you stopped by and hope you will stop in more often. oh wait, I guess that means I would need to blog more. Well I will definitely keep you posted on how things are looking for the move.

Just wanted to let you all know that John did make it safely home without any troubles. Our snow turned to all rain today. At least the boys were able to go sledding yesterday.

Long Time Coming

I know its been a while. Sorry about that. Gotta say there isn't a whole lot going on here. To look outside it looks like we might finally be having some winter weather. The boys were out sledding for a little while today till they were to cold. There wasn't a lot on the ground and it looked like it was actually freezing rain when they decided to come in. Now it looks like snow again. How pretty it looks especially being inside looking out. I am hoping that John will be able to get home from work tonight. He has 4 wheel drive, but as he so wonderfully reminded me, it doesn't do him much good when the roads are icy. And if the 3rd shift people aren't able to get in he may have to stay. We hope that everyone is doing well.

I am still enjoying taking my piano lessons. 30 minutes goes very quick when I feel like I have so much to learn. But then it's probably a good I only have 30 minute lessons. I sometimes walk away feeling like I haven't completely comprehended what she just told me. Good thing she writes down what I'm supposed to do.

Well, I have to go and start putting dinner together. If anyone ever has some really good recipes that they like and don't mind sharing them, send them my way. We enjoy trying new things. The nice thing with living with mom and dad is that they enjoy trying new things also and they usually like it even if John and I don't care for it.

It's never to late to continue learning.

Well, I started taking piano lessons today. I had taken in elementary through 11th grade then had given up because I hated to practice. So now I have picked it back up again and am trying to better the talent that The Lord has given me. So thats the excitement that is going on here for today. Hope everyone is doing well.

Snow!!

Well, sorry for the delay in blogging. There hasn't been a lot going on since Joel's birthday. We had some snow yesterday that the boys were able to go out and sled. They had fun being outside in the snow and it looked so beautiful. I wish that I would have taken some pictures of the trees with the snow on them. But then it turned to rain so almost all the snow is gone today already. At least the boys were able to be out in it yesterday.

I think that Joel was pulling Elijah down the hill and was about wiped out.

Some video clips of them having a good time sledding...

They finally were cold enough that they wanted to come in to warm up by the fire.
